Desi Chana, also known as Bengal Gram or Kala Chana, is a small, dark brown variety of chickpea (Cicer arietinum). It has a rough outer coat and is widely grown and consumed in India. Rich in nutrients and fiber, Desi Chana is commonly used in whole, split (chana dal), or flour (besan) forms in Indian cuisine.

    • Flour (Besan):

      • Used in batters, sweets, snacks (pakoras), and bakery products.

      • Used in processed and instant food mixes, protein flours, and weaning foods.
